Where do the events take place?
The parade route is shown on the www.palisades4th.com website. There is no seating for the fireworks. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the baseball field to view the fireworks.
What are my parking options for the events?
Parade parking: There is free neighborhood parking off the parade route on a first come, first served basis in areas not designated as "No Parking" or "No Stopping" by the City as long as cars arrive and can access those areas prior to parade street closures going into effect. (These limited spots are not available for groups or buses.)NO REMAINING SPOTS AVAILABLE. What can I bring into the events? Are they are things I can't bring or do? Where do I watch the fireworks?
No dogs or other pets are allowed in the parade grandstands or on the Palisades Charter High School grounds. There are no grandstands or seats for the fireworks. Smoking (including of e-cigarettes), alcoholic beverages and hazardous items are NOT permitted at either location. All persons and property are subject to search. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on the baseball field grass to watch the concert and fireworks. There will be some table seating in the food truck area for those purchasing food. Patrons may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages (no glass bottles please), as long as they collect and properly dispose of all trash and spills in appropriate receptacles.
Where do I watch the fireworks? Do I have to negotiate steps from the pre-paid parking lot or entrance? Is everything on the baseball field? Is there seating?
The evening events are on and around the baseball field, which is on the same side of Palisades Charter High School as the pre-paid parking lot. Everything, including the food trucks, is on the same level and on the same side of the school.. (THERE ARE NO GRANDSTAND SEATS and access to the football stadium is NOT allowed.) You don't need to navigate stairs or a ramp to go to the field from the Bowdoin Street sidewalk entrance or from the pre-paid parking spots for disabled spots near the "loading dock" box office. There is a walkway along an internal road - either directly to the field or further along the road to the food court area outside the second entrance to the baseball field, where there are tables and chairs. The paved area is limited to the road, food court area with the festival stage, tables and chairs, and adjoining restrooms. .
